Who am I?

Check out this SCRIPT MAGAZINE profile…

Personally, I’m a mother, a wife, and a dog lover.

Professionally, I'm a Peabody-Award-winning television series writer and producer. My unique career spans one-hour dramas, unscripted series, VR, and gaming.

I've developed over a dozen new series featuring bold, diverse characters with Netflix, FX, NBC, Universal UK, WBTV, Fox, and Starz. My scripted drama credits include writing and producing the historic blockbuster first season of Fox's Empire and debut seasons of The Rookie Feds, Prodigal Son, Station 19, Nashville, Revenge, and Justified.

I’m a creative advisor and panel moderator for Film Independent’s Global Media Makers, Imaginar TV Incubator for Fearless Latinx Creators, the Sloan Salon, and New Series Creator’s Spirit Award nominees. I’m a frequent speaker for the Austin Film Festival (AFF), including AFF’s inspiring writer’s retreat in Ghost Ranch, New Mexico. As an honored alumnus of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, I love serving on the Board of Directors of the Geena Davis Institute.

I recently moderated an Alliance of Regenerative Medicine webinar about Hollywood's role in shaping society’s understanding of Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) and those who live with it.

That role has only grown with the approval of transformative new gene therapy treatments that address the underlying genetic mutations that cause the disease.

SCD advocates, patients, and healthcare professionals offered candid stories and resources.
